On the 27th of April, a video mapping show took place at the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center in Baku. The content was developed by our partner studio Hypnotica (Azerbaijan), and dedicated to Azerbaijani culture and art history. On this occasion, Front Pictures provided technical support using our Screenberry Media Server.
The Heydar Aliyev Center is a 57,519 m² complex, famous for its distinctive architecture, evoking a natural landscape. It was designed by the Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, the first female architect ever to be awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize.
The structure’s surface is made of countless tiles, each of unique size and shape. We had to calibrate the image so that the grid fit each one perfectly. In addition, our team faced weather conditions practically unheard of for Baku - rain, thunderstorms and powerful winds. Even so, these challenges failed to halt our work. Rather, they inspired the team to seek creative technical solutions.
We would like to thank all the project’s participants for their cooperation and for the opportunity to implement a unique show of such great scale.
